Technology and its use

We live in an increasingly more technological age.  The leadership of Heritage believes that we should embrace this technology.  More and more students own devices that are more than just phones which they bring into school.  The school encourages the use of this technology.  Unfortunately, an increasing number of students are misusing their devices during lesson time and it is therefore affecting learning and teaching.  The school has a view on this but welcomes comments from students, parents/carers, governors and staff as a consultation, before it acts to redefine the rules for the use of these devices.  What are your views?

Cyber-bullying and/or the exchange of unpleasant comments using technology is an increasing problem for students and parents.  Much of it occurs out of school and is brought into school.  What are parents’ and students’ views of how this should be addressed, with particular reference to the extent of the school’s powers to address this out of school behaviour.  The school is keen to update its policies on this issue and welcomes any constructive comments that can be made
